During Svaneke Market Days, the town square comes alive with local stalls and a warm market atmosphere. Here you can explore Bornholm products, crafts, plants, jewellery, ceramics, knitwear, honey and much more.
The market days are also a great opportunity to take a relaxed walk through Svaneke, enjoy the town’s beautiful streets, visit shops and galleries, and experience the special summer atmosphere that makes the town one of Bornholm’s most charming places. There is often music and small festive features on the square, helping to create a lively and relaxed atmosphere in the heart of the town.
In our laboratory, we explore the world of chemistry. Together with Bornholm’s young chemistry talent Yoko Froholdt, we will try making our own bioplastic and carry out other chemical experiments.

For children and young people aged 10–15 with an interest in nature and geology. The focus is on curiosity, experiments and activities that explore scientific topics in greater depth.

Would you like to try science experiments with soil, sand, clay and rocks? Come and examine sand under a stereo microscope and experiment with the magnetic mineral magnetite. You can also build a landscape, dig a stream and pour water into it to see what happens to the speed of the water. Using large blocks of ice, we will also explore how ice has shaped Bornholm since the last Ice Age.

🎺🍻 TIROLERBAND AALBURG – AT SMEDJEN ON 10 OCTOBER! 🇩🇪🎉
Get ready for an evening of authentic Oktoberfest atmosphere when Tirolerband Aalburg takes over Smedjen on 10 October!
Tirolerband Aalburg is a lively eight-piece Tyrolean band that combines brass music, drums, sing-alongs and plenty of good humour to bring out your inner Tyrolean in no time. 🎺🥁🍻
Look forward to a musical journey straight to Oktoberfest in Munich – without having to catch a flight!
During the evening, you will of course also be introduced to some of Oktoberfest’s festive traditions:

Tirolerband Aalburg has been performing festive Tyrolean music for more than 25 years and knows exactly how to get the party going.
The repertoire is a festive mix of original Tyrolean music, German schlager hits and Danish classics, so there will be plenty of opportunities to dance, sing along and raise your glass.
So dig out your Tyrolean hat, polish your dancing shoes and warm up your voice!
Your ticket includes:
1 portion of sausage mix
1 large (giant) beer glass giving you access to unlimited draught beer for as long as the music is playing

Look forward to two festive evenings at Smedjen with Denmark’s friendliest and longest-running Bamses Venner tribute band!
Bomles Venner takes you on a nostalgic journey through all the beloved hits by Bamses Venner – performed with plenty of energy, warmth and sing-along spirit.
The lead singer both looks and sounds like Flemming “Bamse” Jørgensen, and the band goes to great lengths to get as close as possible to the original Bamse sound.
In 2023, Thomas "Bomle" Engelund took part in DR’s musical entertainment programme "Stjerneklar", where, as part of "Team Bamse", he impersonated Danish music icon Flemming "Bamse" Jørgensen.
With his powerful voice and more than 25 years of experience with the tribute band Bomles Venner, he impressed both the judges and viewers. He made it all the way to the grand final in June 2023. Despite a strong performance, he was ultimately beaten by a contestant impersonating Kim Larsen.
Since appearing on the programme, he has continued to enjoy great success performing and touring around Denmark with his interpretations of Bamse’s many much-loved classics.
