Litteraturens Folkemøde 2026

Litteraturens Folkemøde 2026
– four days of literature, authors and conversations in Nexø
From 10 to 13 September, Litteraturens Folkemøde 2026 brings together authors, debaters and other literary voices at Møbelfabrikken in Nexø. The programme features talks, readings and conversations about books, authorship and the importance of literature. This year’s theme is Veje du kan – eller ikke kan – vælge (“Paths you can – or cannot – choose”), and the connection to Martin Andersen Nexø lies in social indignation and the ability to write from the heart.
The programme features Morten Pape, Pelle Hvenegaard, Cæcilie Lassen, Siff Cecilie Mossin, Adine Fliid, Jesper Wung-Sung, Kirsten Sonne Harild, Anna Margrethe Kjærgaard, Niels Overgaard, Jørgen Aabenhus, Stine Askov, Merete Pryds Helle, Niels Krause-Kjær, Bergur Rønne Moberg, Henrik Yde, Iben Mondrup, Rikke Viemose, Dennis Gade Kofod and Ingrid Kofod Larsen.
On Friday, Saturday and Sunday, the programme begins with morning singing from the Danish Højskolesangbogen songbook, accompanied by Olav Elvang, followed by a short text by Martin Andersen Nexø read by Henrik Yde.
Please note: The event is held in Danish.
