Bornholms Rovfugleshow in Nyker, close to Rønne, is today much more than a bird of prey show. At Dyrenes Oase, the whole family can get close to both birds of prey and a wide range of other animals – including insects, arachnids, reptiles, birds and mammals.
The birds of prey are still a central part of the experience. During the bird of prey show, you can see the birds in action and learn more about their special abilities, hunting techniques and adaptations to life as predators. The show takes place both outdoors and in the indoor flying hall, so it can also go ahead in bad weather.
At the same time, a visit is about much more than birds of prey. The animals are used to tell the story of evolution and the characteristics that different species have developed over millions of years. Throughout the day, there are different presentations and activities where guests can get closer to the animals and learn more about their lives and development.
For those who want an even closer experience with the birds of prey, Bornholms Rovfugleshow also offers special experiences. During “Gå tur med Rovfugl”, you take part in training and feeding a bird of prey and experience it flying in to you. There is also the “Ørnedrømme” experience, where you can get close to some of the large eagles.
There is also a café and shop on site, and it is easy to spend several hours experiencing both the animals and the different shows and activities of the day.
