Døndalefaldet – Denmark's largest natural waterfall
Døndalefaldet is widely regarded as Denmark's largest natural waterfall and is also one of Bornholm's best-known natural attractions. The waters of Døndaleåen drop around 20 metres through the beautiful Døndalen rift valley, where steep rock faces, ancient beech trees and abundant birdlife create a truly special atmosphere.
The waterfall is at its most impressive in spring and after periods of heavy rain, but Døndalen is a beautiful nature experience throughout the year.
Gedebæksfaldet – a natural gem by Ekkodalen
Most visitors come to Ekkodalen to experience its famous echo, but right beside the popular hiking trail you'll also find Gedebæksfaldet. Easily reached via a footbridge, the waterfall is a perfect stop if you'd like to discover another of the area's beautiful natural attractions.
Pissebækken – an impressive coastal waterfall
Pissebækken is one of Bornholm's most spectacular waterfalls. When the water flow is high, the stream plunges down the steep cliff face, creating one of the island's most dramatic waterfall experiences.
The waterfall is set within the magnificent landscape of Slotslyngen close to the coast and is especially worth visiting in spring or after periods of heavy rainfall.
Risebækken – a coastal nature experience
Risebækken is not Bornholm's largest waterfall, but the walk to it is an experience in itself. From the sandy beach, you follow the stream into the protected nature reserve, where the water flows over the slate bedrock in a small waterfall.
Natural iron-rich deposits often give the water and rocks a distinctive reddish-brown colour, making Risebækken one of Bornholm's most unique nature experiences.
Stavehøl – a beautiful waterfall by the Kobbeå
Stavehøl is located in the lush Kobbeå Valley, where the trail follows the stream through one of Bornholm's most beautiful forests. In spring, when the Kobbeå carries plenty of water, the stream rushes through the narrow gorge, creating an impressive natural spectacle.
The walk through the green forest is an experience in itself, and the combination of wild nature, rushing water and a fairy-tale atmosphere makes Stavehøl one of Bornholm's most atmospheric places.

Bornholm's waterfalls can be visited all year round, but the amount of water varies with the seasons and rainfall.
