ABBAtizers

ABBAtizers
It has been nearly 50 years since Agneta, Björn, Benny and Anni-Frid conquered the world with the hit “Waterloo” – and they are still hugely popular worldwide. ABBA played their last concert in 1982, and 40 years later they remain as relevant as ever with their ABBA Voyage avatar show, which at the time of writing has sold over 1.5 million tickets.
Here in Denmark, a six-piece band has kept the ABBA fever alive for more than 20 years. Their name is ABBAtizers – and it’s no coincidence. The band is known for creating a strong appetite for perfectly crafted pop, served with generous amounts of glitter, glamour and showmanship.
With hundreds of performances both in Denmark and abroad, ABBAtizers guarantee a show that doesn’t just hit straight to the pop heart – but also gets straight into your dancing feet. A performance filled with energy, self-irony and charm, wrapped in professional sound and lighting design that reaches all the way to the back rows.
“But why do people still dance so wildly to ABBA?” The answer comes instantly when the band is interviewed by Signe Arnkvist on P7 Mix. Singer Neel Ettrup says:
“They never really go out of style, and there have been other bands doing ABBA covers – like A-teens and Erasure. So there are plenty of young people around 20 who know ABBA too. It doesn’t matter if you’re 15 or 65 – ABBA is just brilliant!”
ABBA is, in every way, still alive – and if you want to experience them live, it doesn’t get better than ABBAtizers.
