Åremyr lies peacefully in the heart of Almindingen, surrounded by woodland and with good paths all the way around the lake. The walk is easy and varied, with views alternating between open stretches across the water and denser sections along the edge of the forest.
It is an ideal place for a quiet walk, a break during a trip through Almindingen or as part of a longer hike in the area. By the lake, there is also a designated fire pit and an open grassy area where you can sit down and enjoy your own food.
The lake is also home to interesting wildlife. Among the species recorded here is the rare great diving beetle.
Åremyr is also close to several of Almindingen’s well-known sights. Within walking distance you will find Jomfrubjerget, Christianshøj, Rokkestenen and the ruins of Lilleborg. This makes it easy to combine a walk around the lake with several other experiences on the same woodland outing.
