Finnens Top is one of the most spectacular viewpoints on Bornholm and the highest point in Slotslyngen. From the top, which lies about 81 metres above sea level, the landscape opens up in all directions with wide views over the rocky coastline, the Baltic Sea and the open heathland.

Up here, you get an experience that truly stays with you. The view is both rugged and impressive, with clear contrasts: to the north, Hammershus rises dramatically on the cliffs, while Hammerknuden and Hammerfyret appear on the horizon. To the south, the landscape opens towards Vang and the old quarries, giving a more rugged and angular character.

The summit itself is marked by a stone, and from here there is an unobstructed view of the surrounding landscape. On clear days, visibility is excellent, and the view stretches far out over the sea. The area around the top consists of open heathland with rocky outcrops and low vegetation, and in late summer the heather blooms, adding purple tones to the landscape.

Finnens Top is also one of the best places on Bornholm to experience the sunset. As the sun slowly disappears into the horizon over the sea, the light transforms the landscape – from sharp contrasts to soft, golden tones.

The summit lies along the hiking route “Finnens Fodspor”, which passes through some of the most dramatic landscapes in northern Bornholm. The route offers a mix of forest, cliffs and open scenery, with the reward being the view from Finnens Top – one of the highlights of the walk.

Finnens Top is not just a viewpoint, but an experience where Bornholm’s nature truly unfolds. It is a place where you naturally slow down – and where the view invites you to stay a little longer.
