Sose Beach is located on the southern coast of Bornholm and is a quiet, natural beach with fine sand, coastal cliffs, and clearly layered sediment deposits in the shoreline. It is one of the island’s lesser-known bathing spots and is often experienced as a peaceful alternative to the larger and more popular beaches. On days with stronger waves, you can hear the small pebbles rolling in the surf, giving the place a distinctive atmosphere.

The coastline at Sose is also known for the Sose shipwreck of December 1678, when a Swedish convoy sank during a severe snowstorm. The disaster is regarded as one of the largest shipwrecks in Danish history. According to historical sources, around 1,000–1,500 people lost their lives, while others survived and made it ashore. Over the years, various finds from the wreck have been uncovered, including debris and recovered artefacts.

Parking is available close to the beach, but there are no commercial facilities. Sose Beach is therefore an ideal choice for visitors seeking tranquillity, nature, and a more undisturbed coastal experience.
