Dueodde Lighthouse is located at the southern tip of Bornholm in the distinctive dune landscape behind Dueodde Beach. The present lighthouse was built between 1960 and 1962 and brought into service in 1962 as a replacement for earlier lights in the area, which no longer met the needs of maritime navigation.

At 47 metres, Dueodde Lighthouse is the tallest lighthouse in Denmark and a striking landmark in the otherwise flat landscape. The lighthouse serves as an important navigational point for shipping in the waters south of Bornholm and is visible over great distances. The tower’s location and height make it a characteristic feature of the area around Dueodde.

It is possible to climb the lighthouse, from where there are impressive views over the dune landscape, the surrounding forests and the sea around Bornholm’s southern tip.
