Dueodde
Dueodde is 'world-renowned' for its exceptionally fine sand, which extends across a large area at the southern tip of Bornholm. The area behind the beach consists of an extensive dune landscape, with dunes reaching heights of around 15 metres. The beach itself stretches for several kilometres and is more than 100 metres wide at its broadest points.
Dueodde is a popular excursion destination and is visited by many thousands of people each year. Most visitors park at the large car park on Fyrvejen, where there are restaurants, ice cream kiosks, shops and toilets.
From the car park, a boardwalk has been constructed that leads almost all the way down to the shoreline.
Large parts of Dueodde and the surrounding plantation area are protected, and the area is home to a fascinating variety of plant and animal life.
If you still have energy left in your legs after a walk down to the shoreline and a climb up some of the high dunes, it is recommended to visit Dueodde Lighthouse, which stands 47 metres tall. From the top, you can enjoy a magnificent view over large parts of Dueodde.
