Dueodde strand

Dueodde Beach on the southern tip of Bornholm is known for its exceptionally fine, light sand, which over time has made it one of the island’s most distinctive natural areas. The long coastline and wide stretches of sand run through an extensive dune landscape, where the sea, the sand and the open horizon create a bright and characteristic coastal environment. The clear water and natural sandbanks provide shallow areas close to shore, with deeper water further out.

From the parking areas on Fyrvej and Skrokkegårdsvej, long wooden walkways lead through the dunes down to the beach. They provide easy access – even for visitors with prams or wheelchairs. Toilets and a small kiosk are also found here during the summer season.

The extensive dunes and large quantities of fine sand have been shaped by thousands of years of coastal processes, where currents and wind have gradually deposited sand at the southern tip of the island. This geological development is what gives Dueodde its distinctive landscape and well-known character.
