The venue is set in a traditional fisherman’s cottage and has, since 1972, become one of Snogebæk’s most recognisable landmarks. The red buildings, colourful lights and informal atmosphere all contribute to an experience that feels authentic and unpretentious.

During the day and early evening, it’s an ideal place to sit down with food and cold drinks – not least the popular American deep-pan pizzas, baked in a stone oven and served straight from the kitchen.

As the evening sets in, the place takes on a different character. Throughout the summer, Sørens Værtshus offers free live music, where both local and international musicians create an atmosphere that draws guests from across the island. The music typically starts around 8 pm and continues late into the evening.

Part of the experience is also the traditional “slå søm” game, where guests challenge each other in a simple yet entertaining competition – a small detail that reflects the social and laid-back atmosphere the place is known for.
