Boderne

Boderne is a small fishing village on Bornholm’s south coast, located west of Sømarken and south of Aakirkeby. The area has preserved much of its peaceful coastal atmosphere and is now a popular summer spot with a beach, harbour, holiday homes and a pleasant seasonal buzz.

The small harbour is one of Boderne’s natural gathering points. Here, the characteristic fishermen’s houses lie close to the coast, and the harbour setting gives the area a special sense of a traditional Bornholm fishing village. The harbour is small and easy to take in, but that is very much part of its charm.

Boderne Beach begins by the harbour and stretches southeast along the coast. It is a lovely sandy beach with dunes, plenty of space and a relaxed summer atmosphere. There are good opportunities for swimming, beach life and quiet walks along the water, and the area is popular with locals, holiday home guests and visitors alike.

Boderne is also known for Butik Stærmose, a large and popular fashion shop with clothing, shoes and accessories. During the summer season, it is also possible to find food, coffee or ice cream close to the beach and harbour, adding to the area’s lively and cosy holiday atmosphere.

The area around Boderne also has an attractive holiday home environment, where many return year after year to enjoy the combination of beach, nature and a peaceful holiday atmosphere. Boderne is also well placed for exploring southern Bornholm – with easy access to Sømarken, Dueodde, Pedersker, Aakirkeby and several of the island’s good cycling and nature experiences.
