Stammershalle

Stammershalle is a protected coastal area located just south of Tejn.

The area has yielded a number of fascinating archaeological discoveries, including traces from the Early Bronze Age (c. 1700–1000 BCE) as well as graves marked by, among other things, standing stones from the Early Roman Iron Age (c. 0–200 CE).

The site is also known for the historic Stammershalle Badehotel, which was built in 1911 by a German merchant. For many years, the hotel was a popular holiday destination for wealthy German guests. In Troldeskoven, which lies adjacent to the hotel, a zoological garden was also established, featuring, among other animals, lions and bears.

The coastline at Stammershalle is beautiful and an ideal place for a walk, where you can experience the landscape and the views over the sea.
