Ypnasted is a small, idyllic area on Bornholm’s north coast between Gudhjem and Svaneke, just north of Bølshavn. Originally a modest fishing settlement, it is today primarily a protected holiday home area with old, charming houses and a highly scenic setting. No new houses have been built since the early 1950s, after the area was protected in order to preserve its distinctive character and natural environment.
Ypnasted has a small harbour and is set in a landscape characterised by a rugged, undulating rocky coastline with fine sea views and coastal path connections.
