Sømarken

Sømarken consists of Østre Sømark and Vestre Sømark and is one of the popular holiday and summer house areas on Bornholm’s south coast. The area lies along the coast west of Dueodde and is known for its calm holiday atmosphere, wide coastal landscapes and easy access to beach and nature.

Østre Sømark is a small fishing village with a harbour and smokehouse, where you can experience a more traditional Bornholm coastal atmosphere. Vestre Sømark is more characterised by summer houses and peaceful holiday surroundings close to the sea.

The beach at Sømarken stretches along the coast west of Dueodde and is more varied than Dueodde Beach, with dunes, coarser sand and more stones in the water. In return, there are often fewer people here, making the area attractive for those looking for a slightly more peaceful beach experience.

Sømarken is a good starting point for exploring southern Bornholm. From here, there is easy access to Dueodde’s wide sandy beach, the large dune and forest areas, Dueodde Golf Course and charming places such as Snogebæk, Pedersker and Nexø.
