Rø

Rø is a small village close to the coast, approximately 7 kilometres west of Gudhjem, and was formerly a railway town on the Rønne–Allinge line, which closed in 1953.

From the area around Rø, there are several spots with beautiful views over the Baltic Sea, and on clear days you can clearly see Christiansø on the horizon. The landscape is characterised by woodland, rocky outcrops and open areas, creating a distinct sense of calm and closeness to nature.

Today, Rø is best known for its beautiful golf courses. Rø Golf Courses feature two 18-hole courses – the Old Course and the New Course – both set within the characteristic landscape of northern Bornholm. The courses offer varied terrain with woodland, cliffs, lakes and old quarries, and several holes have views over the Baltic Sea. The facility is widely regarded as one of Denmark’s most scenic golf areas and attracts a large number of visitors each year.
